It may be a viable work around for some of us until TS comes up with the files to fix it the right way.You are dealing with two completely separate things. This worked for me, and I hope it works for you too. When you have loaded the software, the G4 program will now recognize you have EP4 there too and will ask you for the serial number of G4, the Interlink serial number, and EP4's serial number too. load G4 to the same exact directory that you specified for the EP4 load, such as c:\program files\RealFlightG4. When EP4 is finished loading, it won't allow you to enter a serial number at this time - don't worry.Ignore (click "OK" or whatever) any messages that come up that indicate the expansion pack couldn't find a compatible program or whatever.This is important because the default directory for EP4 is probably c:\program files\RealFlightG3 and this may not work with these directions. And make sure you use the "Advanced" load to specify the exact directory name that you are going to use for the G4 program, such as c:\program files\RealFlightG4. Install Expansion Pack 4 first this time.Verify the directories are gone from your hard drive such as c:\program files\RealflightG4 or wherever you specified it to load if you used the "Advanced" loading feature.BTW, I uninstalled my G2 after I uninstalled G4. Uninstall everything, G4 and Expansion Pack using the "Uninstall" tool from G4, and also G3.5 if that is still loaded.There was a post on 11/16/07 with the same issue and the response was to add two files, but apparently the two files were never posted - at least I didn't see them. My platform is Windows 2000 SP4 by the way. I had the same error message and G4 failure to launch with EP1 and 2.
